We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join the private investment business of a highly successful entrepreneur based in Sydney. The business holds significant positions across US and Australian capital markets as well as interests in a number of start ups in renewable energy, fin tech and leisure. This newly created role will initially be stand alone with a view to building a team over time and will take responsibility for the end to end accounting from book keeping, BAS and GST to complex reporting of financial instruments, investment advice and analysis. You will be supported by external consultants and in the short term by a part time CFO.

 

Duties

  • Monthly and annual accounts prep
  • Preparation BAS and GST
  • Investment due diligence and analysis
  • Reporting on complex trading positions (Black-scholes, Third part investment etc)
  • ASIC compliance
  • Inter company loans
  • Introduce sustainable processes and new systems to assist in future growth
 

Candidate Profile


  • Qualified (CPA, CA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Happy to be hands on but with the apatite and intellectual capability to work on complex and varied issues
  • Strong technical accounting experience and commercial acumen
  • Experience in managing funds/high net worth individuals or family offices highly desirable  
  • Advanced Excel skills
