The Organisation & The Role

Our client is a reputable non-bank mortgage lender who’s part of an ASX Listed Financial Services Group. They offer choice and flexibility and innovation in their product offerings to meet different client needs, and have helped thousands of Australian households and businesses realise their true financial potential.

The Finance team is now looking for an organised Finance Assistance who’s a team player, with a focus on detail to join on a 6-month contract. This role will accurate and timely complete finance activities and related administration tasks to support the business and it is internal and external stakeholders whilst ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements are met.

This is a rare opportunity for a junior finance professional to join a highly regarded financial services business, and be coached


Responsibilities:
  • Process journal entries.
  • Complete bank reconciliation and related tasks.
  • Review reports and financial schedules for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform routine calculations (such as broker commissions) to produce analysis and reports using Excel in an efficient manner.
  • Assist with processing invoices to be paid in MYOB.
  • Check and ensure required supporting documents are held on file and are complete.
  • Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Complete general administration duties to support the finance and credit teams.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant role.
  • Can operate with efficiency and complete tasks within agreed timeframes.
  • Can take ownership of tasks from start to finish.
  • Has great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has a can-do attitude and is a team player.
  • Fulfilled by continuously learning and willing to be coached
  • Experience in residential lending and exposure to MYOB, will be well regarded.
