A leading global Chemicals company is looking for an experienced Supply Chain specialist based in Singapore to be the medium between the suppliers, sales team and clients. Someone who is hands on and able to work closely both internally and externally with different parties to improve and enhance their business operations as well as finding the right solutions as and when needed across all business units.
  
Responsibilities: 
  • To be the business partner linking the ‘end to end’ APAC Supply chain with Customer Service (factories/third party tollers/suppliers).
  • To manage the multi-business units current internal warehouse footprint, focusing on inventory management and allocation processes.
  • Ensure that stock is allocated according to define flows with the Global Forecast and Planning team as well as overseeing all aspects of Supply Chain Planning for APAC.
  • Managed the weekly planning with the China team by ensuring local completion of stock plans.
  • Be able to come up with an efficient freight and logistics structure collaboratively with the Logistics service unit.
  • Work to standardise and maintain the Sales & Operations Planning, to include meetings where sales/supply numbers, review measures, etc can be approved globally with agreed upon corrective actions.
  • Implement and manage target product availability with the commercial team of the different business units, work with the Global
  • Inventory Manager to set appropriate stocking strategies, planning parameters, define optimal target inventory and measure against plan.
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor degree in Chemicals, Economics, Supply Chain, or related degree.
  • To have minimally 6 – 8 years of experience within the Chemicals Industry or similar industry with fast-paced processes.
  • To have minimally 5+ years of people management experience, preferably regionally.
  • 15-20% per quarter for regional travelling to productions plants and meetings with colleagues and clients will be required (Orientation to include travelling to China production plants and other warehouse locations in APAC as required)
  • Possesses a highly numeric, analytical mind with superb attention to detail and excellent statistical and communication skills
  • Ability to be hands on and efficient in looking for ways to tweak and optimize processes.
