Job duties:
This is a 6 month fixed term role intended to work alongside existing members of our Accounts team to fulfil AP and AR responsibilities for our Greater China practice.  It is expected that the successful applicant will have both AP and AR skills and experience, and the work duties will be varied based on current workflows and the needs of the function.    

Accounts Payable
  • Verify all payments to ensure we have all supporting documents and authorisation before making payments
  • Ensure payments adhere to firm’s policies
  • Code and input disbursement invoices and reimbursement claims into the system on timely manner (Experience with Concur system and handling corporate card will be an advantage)
  • Execute payment run in the accounting system based on payment term
  • Prepare cheques and bank payments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Respond to all external vendors inquires in a timely manner.
  • Respond to fee earners/secretaries’ inquires promptly
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Any ad hoc assignment

Handle Accounts receivables

  • Identify incoming payment and input client receipts on a daily basis
  • consult with few earners for unidentified money.
  • Handle client’s account receipt and payment and ensure we are complying with solicitors’ rules
  • Verify all clients’ accounts payment to ensure we have all supporting document and authorisation to release money on client’s behalf
  • Follow up with secretaries and AP team to ensure disbursement are paid before the deadline after client settlement
  • Prepare cash-flow to visibility on useable cash.

  • Accounting background with AP and Client’s account experience.
  • Experience with Law Firm
  • Experience with Elite and Aderant will be an advantage
