Due to growth they have a newly created opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner from a general insurance background to join the high-performing finance team. Reporting to, and acting as 2ic the Head of Finance Business Partnering, this role will be pivotal in driving financial performance, delivering actionable insights and partnering with executive and operational stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders across product, underwriting, claims and distribution.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
- Provide strategic and operational financial analysis to support key initiatives and performance optimisation.
- Develop and deliver business cases and investment appraisals for major projects and transformation activities.
- Identify risks and opportunities and proactively influence commercial outcomes.
- Present financial results, insights, and recommendations to non-finance stakeholders in a compelling, accessible way.
- Lead and mentor finance business partners and senior analysts within the team
- CA/CPA qualified with 10+ years' post-qualification experience, ideally in general insurance, life insurance or reinsurance
- Strong financial modelling, analysis and business case development skills.
- Proven track record of successful business partnering and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
- Commercially savvy with excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment with multiple priorities.
- Experience with large ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, TM1) and strong Excel/Power BI skills.
