This is an Information Governance / Records Management role
focused on managing how the organisation classifies, stores, retains, digitises and ultimately destroys information
across both physical and digital environments.
Key focus areas:
Information Governance:
Maintain and improve classification, retention and destruction frameworks.
Records & Lifecycle Management:
Ensure records are properly classified, retained, retrieved and disposed of in line with regulatory requirements.
Digitisation:
Manage the transition from physical records to digital, including quality checks, exceptions and approvals for destruction.
Risk & Compliance:
Identify information governance risks, manage controls and work with Risk, Legal and business teams to remediate issues.
Supplier Management:
Oversee external storage/records suppliers, including performance, contracts and costs.
Reporting:
Develop dashboards and executive reporting around governance, compliance, risk and control effectiveness.
Technology & Delivery:
Partner with Technology and Product teams to embed governance controls into new solutions and projects.
Ideal Candidate
Someone with experience in Information Management, Records Management or Information Governance, ideally within a regulated environment, who has experience with:
- Records and information lifecycle management
- Regulatory compliance and audit
- Operational risk and controls
- Physical-to-digital records transformation
- Supplier/vendor management
- Microsoft 365 and information governance tools
- Working across Technology, Risk, Legal and business stakeholders
