Our client, a highly regulated Financial Institute is seeking a Risk in Change Specialist to support the delivery of assurance activities across a diverse portfolio of strategic projects, programs and transformation initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a risk, assurance, or internal audit professional who enjoys analysing delivery effectiveness and influencing successful outcomes. This is an initial 3 month day-rate contract opportunity with potential of extension.

The Opportunity
As a Risk in Change Specialist, you will support the planning, execution and reporting of assurance reviews across a portfolio of projects and programs. You will assess governance frameworks, delivery controls, project artefacts and change management practices, helping stakeholders identify risks and improve execution effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
Change Assurance Planning & Portfolio Profiling
Review project activities and portfolio reporting to identify assurance priorities.
Support risk-based profiling and prioritisation of assurance activities.
Maintain assurance planning and forward-looking review schedules.
Change Assurance Delivery
Contribute to the scope and planning of assurance reviews.
Conduct project health checks and deep-dive reviews.
Assess governance arrangements, controls and delivery practices.
Perform testing, evidence gathering and document reviews.
Analyse project information and delivery risks.
Evaluate change management approaches and implementation readiness.
Prepare assurance reports and practical recommendations.
Support remediation tracking and action management.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
Support reporting to governance forums and senior stakeholders.
Identify emerging delivery and transformation risk themes.
Prepare insights, updates and assurance reporting.
Engage stakeholders to validate findings and support improvement actions

Skills & Experience
Experience supporting portfolios, programs or projects within financial services or another highly regulated environment.
Strong understanding of risk in change or delivered risk, assurance and control assessment practices.
Ability to analyse complex information and develop evidence-based conclusions.
Strong written communication and reporting skills.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability.
Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Desirable
Understanding of regulatory obligations within financial services.
Experience within transformation, EPMO, internal audit, assurance or risk functions.
