- Project Engineer – Civil (Roads & Infrastructure)
- 3-month initial contract
- Up to $100 per hr, plus super
- Singleton, Hunter Region NSW.
A suitable candidate would have 5+ years experiance in road project development/construction/maintenance with local government, state government or a construction contractor. This role plans, designs, estimates, manages and oversees the construction and operation of roads, bridges, culverts, slopes, and other civil engineering projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, designing and estimating civil works including roads, bridges, culverts and slopes
- Managing project delivery to meet time, cost, quality and scope requirements
- Preparing project briefs, cost estimates and supporting procurement activities
- Overseeing contractors and service providers across project delivery
- Supporting construction and maintenance activities across the network
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and quality standards
- 5+ years’ experience in civil project delivery (roads/infrastructure)
- Background in local government, state government or civil contractor environment
- Strong experience across project planning, design and construction delivery
- Ability to manage contractors and work across multiple stakeholders
- Solid understanding of road construction and maintenance practices
- Engineering qualification (Civil or related qualifications)
