Ethos BeathChapman is partnering with a well-regarded organisation to appoint an experienced Privacy Lead. This is a key second-line compliance role supporting the ongoing maturity of enterprise risk and compliance frameworks, with a particular focus on privacy compliance, regulatory obligations, assurance activities, and stakeholder engagement.
This opportunity would suit a compliance professional with strong privacy expertise who enjoys partnering with the business, providing pragmatic advice, and helping drive robust compliance outcomes across a complex operating environment.

You will play a critical role in supporting the organisation's compliance management framework and ensuring legal, regulatory and policy obligations are effectively identified, monitored and managed.

Acting as the SME for privacy compliance across the organisation.
Managing and maintaining compliance obligations registers, frameworks and policies.
Leading Privacy Impact Assessments from initiation through to completion.
Providing second-line oversight, advice, challenge and compliance reporting.
Supporting compliance assurance, monitoring and control testing activities.
Conducting reviews of controls, policies and procedures to identify compliance risks and improvement opportunities.
Assisting with regulatory incidents, breaches and investigations.
Preparing compliance reporting for senior leadership and risk committees.
Delivering compliance guidance, education and stakeholder engagement across the business

The sucessful candidate  will bring:
5+ years' experience within compliance, risk, assurance or regulatory environments.
Demonstrated subject matter expertise in privacy compliance.
Experience interpreting regulatory obligations and implementing compliance frameworks.
Strong assurance, monitoring, controls review and reporting capability.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
Experience working within complex and highly regulated environments.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Finance or a related discipline

Experience gained within any of the following sectors will be viewed favourably:
Insurance
Banking & Financial Services
NSW Government or broader public sector environments

Exposure to regulatory engagement, privacy, technology risk, or broader compliance governance frameworks will also be highly regarded
