Our client is a US-headquartered multinational consumer goods company looking for an Assistant Manager, Operations (Contract Manufacturing). This is a role with genuine end-to-end ownership, where you manage the full CM relationship across the region.
You will be accountable for your assigned CMs and suppliers delivering on cost, supply reliability, quality, and service. This means negotiating commercial terms, scrutinising cost breakdowns, driving ongoing cost improvement, and holding partners to account through structured reviews and KPI scorecards, while keeping production plans and capacity aligned to protect supply. You will also run sourcing exercises in line with category strategy, via scouting and qualifying new partners, managing RFQ/RFP processes, and building total cost of ownership models to inform decisions on new products, dual sourcing, and risk mitigation. New product launches (NPI) are central to the role: you will get CMs launch-ready across BOM costing, tooling, trials, validation, and scale-up, working closely with R&D, QA, Commercial, Planning, and Logistics to hit timelines. Rounding out the scope are annual pricing reviews, budgeting support, and compliance oversight including audits and quality investigations.
This role suits someone with strong contract manufacturing and supplier management experience who enjoys owning partnerships end to end in a fast-moving consumer goods environment. You may have managed CM partnerships from the brand side or are currently working in a contract manufacturer and ready to step up into a role blending manufacturing operations with procurement. You are comfortable in a lean set-up and open to regional travel across Southeast Asia.
If this sounds like the right move, apply via the link or drop me a note with your CV at jillian.yip@ethosbc.com. And if you are not actively looking but open to exploring opportunities within the supply chain and procurement space, feel free to reach out as well.
