About the Role
This is a Singapore-based position within the firm's Investment Funds practice. The team advises on the formation and structuring of private equity, venture capital, real estate, hedge, and other closed and open-ended fund structures, as well as institutional investors on their fund investments. Work spans emerging markets and developed markets, with a strong Asia focus and regular cross-border matters touching the US, Europe, and India.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise fund sponsors and managers on fund formation, structuring, and ongoing operational matters
- Advise institutional investors on fund investments, carried interest arrangements, and co-investments
- Manage regulatory and compliance matters relevant to fund structures
- Work directly with senior partners on complex, cross-border mandates
Candidate Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience in investment funds / private investment funds, with experience appropriate to the seniority and responsibilities of the role.
- Admitted to practise in England and Wales, New York, or an equivalent recognised jurisdiction, with the relevant professional qualification required for the role.
- Prior experience advising fund sponsors, managers, or institutional investors
- Strong technical drafting and structuring skills
- Experience with Asia-focused or emerging markets fund work is an advantage
Location: This role is based in Singapore and may require relocation to Singapore.
