Initial Contract to 30 June 2027 - $1,100 - $1,250 per day + Super

This executive leadership role is responsible for leading the organisation's Enterprise Risk, Governance, Compliance, Work Health & Safety (WHS), Protective Security and Business Continuity functions. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening organisational resilience, embedding a proactive safety and risk culture, and providing strategic advice to the Executive Leadership Team, Board and Audit & Risk Committee.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide Risk, Governance, Compliance, WHS, Protective Security and Business Continuity frameworks.
- Drive organisational maturity by embedding a strong risk-aware and safety-first culture across the organisation.
- Lead the organisation's Work Health & Safety strategy, governance and assurance activities, ensuring legislative compliance and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic advice and reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, Board and Audit & Risk Committee.
- Oversee enterprise risk management, governance reporting, compliance monitoring and risk assurance activities.
- Lead crisis management, organisational resilience and business continuity planning.
- Build strong relationships with government agencies, regulators, emergency services and external stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- Extensive experience in a Director, Head of Risk, Head of Governance, Director Safety, Head of Safety, Executive Manager Risk or similar executive leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience leading Enterprise Risk, Governance, Compliance and Work Health & Safety (WHS) functions across a large, complex organisation.
- Proven success developing and embedding enterprise risk frameworks, governance frameworks and organisation-wide safety management systems.
- Strong experience driving safety culture uplift, WHS assurance programs and contractor safety governance.
- Experience leading Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Organisational Resilience and Protective Security functions.
- Demonstrated experience presenting to and influencing Executive Leadership Teams, Boards and Audit & Risk Committees.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and driving organisational change.
- Previous experience within NSW Government, critical infrastructure, utilities, telecommunications, transport or other highly regulated industries will be highly regarded
- Be an Australian Citizen.
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance.
- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
- Contract through to 30 June 2027.
- $1,100 - $1,250 per day + Super.
