- Paying up to $668 per day including super (PAYG)
In this role, you will undertake advanced data development, analysis and reporting to support service delivery, performance monitoring and reform initiatives. Working within a collaborative analytics environment, you will provide analytical insights, contribute to data asset development and support evidence-based decision making aligned to government priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Retrieve, validate and prepare complex datasets
- Develop and run reporting outputs within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments
- Perform data wrangling, transformation and quality assurance activities
- Produce statistical analysis including frequency tables and distribution insights
- Support development of performance measures and reporting frameworks
- Prepare data sets for geospatial analysis and collaborate with ESRI specialists
- Ensure alignment with data governance standards, suppression requirements and privacy considerations
- Strong SQL capability including complex querying across large data sets
- Experience working with BigQuery or similar large-scale data platforms
- Exposure to Google Analytics data sets
- Demonstrated experience in Data governance, data validation, preparation and quality management
- Understanding of working with sensitive government or social datasets
- Experience supporting reporting, analytics or performance frameworks
- Exposure to geospatial data and ESRI-compatible data structures will be advantageous
- Sound statistical analysis capability
- Ability to obtain a National Police Check and Working With Children Check
- Previous NSW Government or public sector experience highly regarded
