Business Intelligence Specialist - Power BI & Business Central

Contract Type:

Permanent

Location:

Singapore, Singapore

Date Published:

03-Jun-2026

Salary:

$90,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annual
Client introduction
Our client is an established global supply chain and product-development business serving international retail and consumer brands. Headquartered in Singapore with operations across multiple markets, they manage the full supply chain - from design and product development through to quality, compliance and delivery - across a range of consumer and home-product categories.

As reporting becomes increasingly central to how senior management, finance, procurement and quality teams make decisions, they are now building out their Business Intelligence capability locally in Singapore.

They are now hiring a newly created permanent role of a Business Intelligence Specialist - Power BI & Business Central.

Job responsibilities
  • Own, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and recurring management reports across finance, billing, procurement, quality control and operational KPIs.
  • Produce P&L, balance sheet, and cost/profit-centre reporting, and ensure the numbers are accurate at month-end close - including identifying when data looks wrong, tracing it back to source, reconciling discrepancies, and working with ERP / IT stakeholders to resolve the root cause.
  • Work with data drawn from multiple source systems (ERP, SQL, Excel and operational tools), understanding how those systems and tables relate to each other.
  • Support and help improve the data flow between the ERP and Power BI, including reviewing the current export-to-SQL setup and where reporting can be made more live or more reliable.
  • Integrate inspection/QC data from the factory inspection app into reporting outputs where needed.
  • Partner directly with senior stakeholders - CEO, CFO, Procurement Director and Head of IT - to turn reporting needs into practical outputs.
  • Support reporting for key business initiatives and management reviews.

Job requirements
  • Strong, hands-on Power BI experience - dashboard development, management/KPI reporting and recurring reports.
  • Solid understanding of where data comes from: comfortable working across ERP systems, SQL and Excel, and able to understand the relationships between data sources.
  • A genuine eye for data accuracy and reconciliation - able to tell when reported numbers are wrong and fix the root cause, not just rebuild the chart.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is strongly preferred (internal ERP support is available, but ERP/data familiarity matters here).
  • Strong Excel; SQL useful.
  • Able to work independently in a lean environment and communicate with senior, non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in finance, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing or sourcing reporting is an advantage.

Why you should join them
  • You own the BI function rather than sitting inside a large team - your work goes straight to the CEO and CFO.
  • Real scope to improve things: the reporting setup has known gaps, and you'll be the person who fixes how the business sees its data.
  • Direct, regular access to senior leadership and exposure to how a global sourcing business actually runs - from procurement to finance to quality.
  • A stable, established company with a global footprint, building out this capability locally - so there's room to shape the role.
