We’re seeking a skilled Automation Tester
to help a major client modernise their testing practices by moving from manual regression testing to a scalable, reliable automation framework. This role is ideal for someone passionate about quality engineering, building automation from the ground up, and shaping how testing is done in a modern .NET environment.
About the Role
You’ll design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, ensuring high levels of reliability, coverage, and performance across complex enterprise applications. Working closely with manual testers, developers, and product teams, you’ll transform existing manual regression packs into automated workflows that support continuous delivery and long-term quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain automated test cases using Playwright
Translate existing manual regression test scenarios into automated frameworks
Collaborate with developers in a .NET backend environment
to ensure testability and coverage
Implement automation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar)
Drive modern testing practices and uplift overall quality engineering capability
Ensure consistent standards for code quality, maintainability, and documentation
Support manual testers transitioning into automation through guidance and best practices
Skills & Experience
3–5+ years of experience in test automation
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright(required)
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test frameworks, and automation design patterns
Experience working with .NET
applications or familiarity with C#-based environments
Must have the right to work in Australia
Bonus:
Experience in manual-to-automation uplift projects or greenfield test automation builds.
