Our client is a leading financial services group with an excellent brand and reputation. In addition they are multi-award winning employer of choice offering an outstanding employee experience. 

They have an excellent opportunity within their finance business partnering team for a high calibre individual with a strong decision support background. Reporting into the head of finance business partnering the role is highly commercial and also very broad focusing on the following areas:

  • Ability to provide insightful commentary from financial analysis to identify market trends, financial result implications, key actions, and strategic outcomes.
  • Partner with project office on all financial related project documentation including cost estimate validations, benefit identification and business cases.
  • Contribute and lead key aspects of the annual budget and operating plan.
  • Prepare presentations to support management meetings and discussions.
  • Play a leading role in the development of financial modelling capabilities within the finance team that will improve and deliver superior financial analysis and outcomes to the business. Models will include revenue, P&L impact, cashflow and clear articulation of assumptions.
  • Providing key relevant insights into financial information to assist decision making and linkage to group strategy to varying levels of the organisation including executive and leadership teams.
  • Co-ordinating and leading aspects of the annual budget and operating plan for the company.
  • Strong working partnership with various stakeholders including executives and leadership team.
  • Acting as central business partner for specific business units and address all aspects of financial matters.

Required skills and experience:

  • CA/CPA qualified 
  • Minimum of 5 years PQE in management reporting, FP&A, decision support, finance business partnering areas
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • This role partners to a number of business units (both revenue and cost focused) including Technology finance so exposure to IT/Technology finance would be advantageous
  • Experience within the insurance industry would also be advantageous although not essential
  • Strong system skills (ideally TM1)
