Join a leading international insurer as Head of A&H Underwriting Manager in their Singapore office. In this role, you will lead a team of underwriters to support for all lines of distribution channels by leading the product development process and communicating instructions on underwriting guidelines. You will conduct monthly review of all product lines to ensure profitability and viability of products. Experienced A&H underwriters looking for a market leading and leadership position should consider this opportunity, with good progression to develop your career internationally/regionally with the business. 

Key Responsibilities 
  • Portfolio Management 
  • Align with business stakeholders across all lines of A&H Distribution channel via product development process. 
  • Internally, work with regional underwriting team on new product submissions. 
  • Manage underwriting programmes and processes; quality control, pricing management, portfolio pricing and planning, portfolio monitoring and control .
  • Conduct Underwriting management work across new business and approval of cases within assigned authority and guidelines/standards set.
  • Training of junior underwriters to be technically proficient in underwriting and product development.

Key Experience 
  • Demonstrate at least 6-8 years of solid technical underwriting experience across Accident and Health lines, Personal Accident, Travel and/or Health lines of business 
  • Currently/Previously managing teams or present strong leadership qualities and with interest to step up into a leadership role.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Agile and efficient in execution
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Diploma/Degree Holder in any fields
