Organisation: 
Ethos BeathChapman are partnering with a prominent ASX-listed financial services company. A digital banking group that aims to provide a genuine alternative for Australian financial services customers.

Job purpose: 
As a Financial Accountant, you will sit within the Group’s financial control team, and will be responsible for ensuring the Bank’s financial reporting requirements are met. Your primary focus will be on the monthly and annual financial accounting for the Group and subsidiaries, combined with the day-to-day activities for the finance function.

Role type: Full-time

Key deliverables:
  • Group’s month-end close process including reviewing the Group’s monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Identify improvements and standardisation of existing processes to drive efficiency and enhance controls.
  • Assisting Senior Financial Accountants and Group Finance Managers in ensuring that the Bank meets its management and statutory reporting deadlines.
  • Assist with the Group’s Half Year and Full Year statutory reporting.
  • Work collaboratively to meet group deadlines.

Key skills and experience:
  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience as a Financial Accountant, with experience working in a complex ASX-listed environment.
  • Ideally suited to a Chartered Accountant from a professional services firm (Big 4 or large 2nd tier audit firm) seeking their first move into industry.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and the implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with all levels of staff.
