About My Client:

A founder-led Australian fintech company dedicated to revolutionising the financial services industry through innovation and technology. My client provides cutting-edge solutions for trading, investment, and wealth creation.  Due to a sustained period of growth, my client is looking to appoint a dynamic Financial Controller, with responsibiity for leading and developing a high performing finance team.

About The Role:

I am seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join and lead a dynamic team. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of a fast-growing, founder-led, Australian Fintech.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day general accounting functions.
  • Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly board reporting and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of audited financial statements and regulatory filings in Australia and Singapore.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage relationships with banking partners, payment processors, and other financial service providers.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior management to support business growth and expansion.
  • Stay informed about changes in cryptocurrency regulations and industry best practices.
About You: Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Experience gained in a financial leadership role, preferably within a ASX-listed small-cap or Fintech environment
  • Indepth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
