Our client, an iconic and progressive international bank is looking for Accountants / Assistant Accountants to join their Finance Department. In this role you'll have the opportunity to handle all aspects of financial accounting duties for the bank's Australian operations.

Role Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing branch-level asset and liability business plans and financial plans, departmental business plans and performance appraisal plans.
  • Regularly analyse and monitor the progress of branch and department budget implementation.
  • Perform asset & liability analysis on a monthly basis and deliver analysis report.
  • Perform daily financial data monitoring, monthly GL reconciliation, monitoring and adjustment of errors in journals.
  • Manage cost accounting duties including AP process, invoices processing, expense payment, cost journal posting, Fixed Assets and ROU assets accounting; 
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal departments and external auditors.
  • Preparation of branch tax related reports and tax return.
  • Assist in Head Office related financial reports and ad hoc duties.

Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor or above degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation.
  • 3+ years of Accounting experience in Financial Services (Banking is highly preferred).
  • Strong Excel skills including VBA & SQL. 
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, capable of multi-tasking, and willingness to learn and develop within the role.
  • CPA / CA part qualified is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin is a must.
