Based in the Sydney CBD with flexible working arrangements, this role will suit a technically strong finance leader who enjoys working across multiple entities and engaging with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced group environment.
Reporting into senior finance leadership, this position plays a key role in overseeing group-level financial reporting and governance. Responsibilities will span statutory reporting, technical accounting, and advisory support to the broader business.
Key areas of accountability include:
- Leading group consolidation activities and ensuring accurate, compliant financial reporting across multiple entities
- Producing high-quality financial papers and insights for executive leadership and board-level forums
- Providing technical accounting advice on complex transactions, including acquisitions, restructures and bespoke commercial arrangements
- Assessing upcoming accounting standard changes, developing implementation roadmaps and guiding business units through adoption requirements
- Delivering valuation analysis and cash flow modelling to support annual impairment reviews
- Acting as the primary liaison with external auditors and managing audit planning and execution
- Contributing to finance uplift and systems improvement initiatives, including transformation programs and process enhancements
- CA qualified with extensive post-qualification experience, including a foundation in professional services or a Big 4 environment and subsequent exposure within a large, complex organisation
- Strong grounding in Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS, with particular depth across group reporting and M&A-related accounting
- Comfortable working across enterprise finance systems and consolidation tools (experience with large ERPs and planning platforms advantageous)
- Confident communicator able to translate technical matters for non-finance stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, analytical and capable of exercising sound judgement in ambiguous situations
