Our client is seeking an experienced compliance professional to join a high-performing governance and compliance function within a complex, highly regulated environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide compliance programs, provide trusted regulatory advice and support the ongoing enhancement of compliance frameworks across the business.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring regulatory obligations are effectively managed through risk-based monitoring, assurance activities, compliance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver risk-based compliance monitoring, thematic reviews and assurance activities to assess adherence to legislative and regulatory obligations.
Conduct compliance investigations, control testing and desktop reviews, identifying areas of risk and opportunities for improvement.
Provide timely and practical compliance advice to business stakeholders, supporting effective decision-making and regulatory outcomes.
Assist in the development, implementation and enhancement of compliance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assessing potential impacts and supporting the implementation of required changes.
Prepare reports, findings and recommendations for management and governance committees.
Track and report on compliance incidents, breaches, remediation activities and action plans.
Support audit and regulatory engagement activities, ensuring information requests and reviews are managed effectively.
Work collaboratively across the business to promote a strong culture of compliance, accountability and risk awareness.

Ideal Background
Demonstrated experience within compliance, regulatory risk, audit or assurance functions.
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance obligations within a complex operating environment.
Experience conducting compliance reviews, investigations, control assessments and monitoring activities.
Ability to interpret legislation and regulatory requirements, translating them into practical business solutions.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to challenge, influence and advise at multiple levels.
Excellent written communication skills with experience preparing compliance reports and recommendations.
Highly organised, analytical and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
