Client Details
Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Senior/ Compliance Analyst to join their Global Business Acceptance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct full AML and CDD processes, including entity verification, beneficial ownership identification, sanctions/PEP screening, negative news checks, ongoing monitoring, and maintaining accurate records across firm databases.
- Manage client/matter opening procedures, perform KYC checks, conduct conflict searches, analyse conflict results, resolve or escalate potential legal/commercial conflicts, and maintain conflict clearance documentation.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes across Hong Kong, China and relevant jurisdictions; assist in developing, reviewing and improving AML and compliance policies; contribute to risk assessments and ensure firm-wide compliance standards are met.
- Advise partners, fee earners, and support staff on compliance best practices; liaise directly with stakeholders to obtain required documentation; collaborate with Accounts, Marketing, IT, and other teams to support compliance, data privacy, and information security.
- Provide training to new joiners, prepare management reports, support special projects, attend team meetings, handle compliance-related queries, and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items while supporting overall departmental efficiency.
- Supports ad hoc assignments and projects as directed by the team.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience performing CDD checks on entities and individuals (preferably in a law firm)
- Knowledge of relevant AML legislation and guidance
- Strong corporate research skills, including via internet, databases and other sources
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
- Good team player with strong sense of responsibility and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) for internal & external communications and engagement
