About the role
This is a hands-on role shaping complex requirements across products, pricing, claims, and compliance in a fast paced Agile environment. It's a day rate contract for an initial 6 months and requires someone who can start ASAP.
What's Required
This position requires a Senior Business Analyst with extensive Australian Private Health Insurance experience, and solid product and pricing knowledge. They will need strong experience across policy structures, data flows, integrations, and be comfortable navigating ambiguity.
More specifically they will have the following skills and experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business or similar
* 5+ years in a Senior Functional Business Analyst role
* Strong Private Health Insurance (PHI) experience across products, policy structures, pricing, benefits, claims, membership, and core platforms, with solid regulatory understanding
* Proven end-to-end SDLC experience in Agile/Scrum and hybrid delivery environments Sound technical acumen across system design, integrations, APIs, and data, with the ability to assess downstream impacts of change
* Experience working closely with internal tech teams and external vendors in complex delivery environments
* Highly analytical problem-solver with a track record in regulated industries
* Strong documentation and communication skills, producing high-quality artefacts (user stories, use cases, functional specs, requirements)
* Exposure to AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) and prompt engineering is advantageous
