A technology services provider is looking for a senior architect to lead the technical direction of its banking work in Singapore. You’ll work with client architects and engineering leads, and guide teams here and offshore.
What You’ll Do
- Design and oversee the architecture of banking platforms, including digital, payments and corporate banking.
- Guide modernisation of existing applications towards cloud-based, modular designs.
- Identify where AI and GenAI can add real value in banking, with proper security and governance.
- Set the engineering and API standards that teams follow.
- Review technical risk and effort estimates when proposals are being put together.
- Coach architects and senior engineers.
What You Bring
- 15+ years in software engineering and architecture, with recent hands-on design work
- A strong Java and microservices background, plus API design and event-driven systems
- Experience with high-volume transaction systems and enterprise databases
- Modern delivery practices: CI/CD, containers, automated and contract-based testing
- Domain knowledge in payments, transaction banking, digital banking or core banking
- A practical view of how to bring AI services into enterprise architecture
- Bonus: Kubernetes, serverless, performance engineering, front-end exposure, agentic AI
