Salary:

Client introduction
Our client is an established Singapore-based investment firm with a lean, senior, and collaborative working environment. The firm is deliberate about staying compact, is rigorous in how it operates, and places technology at the centre of the business. It is now hiring a hands-on IT Manager to take full ownership of its infrastructure, security, and day-to-day IT environment. This is a broad role for someone who wants to stay close to the technology while also owning IT planning, risk, vendors, and new technology initiatives, with significant autonomy over the firm's entire technology estate.

Job responsibilities
  • Own the firm's day-to-day IT infrastructure, operations, and security environment end to end, and drive delivery of the IT roadmap.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex IT matters, and manage 1 IT Support Analyst who handles first and second line support.
  • Administer the Microsoft cloud environment (Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune) and related infrastructure services, keeping systems reliable, secure, and fit for purpose.
  • Oversee cyber security controls, including endpoint protection, vulnerability and patch management, access controls, and incident response, with oversight of an outsourced security partner.
  • Own disaster recovery and business continuity, running regular testing and closing identified gaps.
  • Maintain IT policies, standards, the risk register, and governance documentation, and report to management on performance, risk, projects, and expenditure.
  • Manage IT vendors from selection through to performance, and own the IT budget, technology renewals, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Lead firmwide adoption of AI and emerging tools, setting usage standards and identifying practical, high-value use cases.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to scope requirements and deliver approved technology projects and system integrations.

Job requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience across IT infrastructure and operations, ideally including time as the sole or lead IT owner in a smaller organisation.
  • Prior experience within a financial institution or financial services environment.
  • Strong hands-on capability across Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune, with a solid grounding in infrastructure security, endpoint protection, patching, access controls, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • A track record owning security, vendors, budget, and IT policy, not just executing tasks.
  • Comfortable in a lean IT environment, taking broad ownership across the whole stack rather than focusing on one specialised area.
  • A confident, personable communicator who can engage senior stakeholders and translate technical matters into plain business language.
  • A genuine interest in AI adoption and how new technology can be applied safely and practically within a business.

Why you should join them
  • A rare chance to own an entire IT function end to end, rather than run one slice of a large team.
  • The role reports directly to the CFO, putting you close to the firm's decision-makers with real visibility and a voice that carries.
  • Full autonomy to shape the roadmap, set the standards, and run IT your way.
  • The firm is actively exploring how AI and emerging technologies can be applied across the business, and you would lead that adoption from the front.
  • An established, financially serious firm that values getting things right, without the silos and politics of a large institution.
