Drive Strategic Financial Performance in a Leading Consumer Insurance Portfolio |  12-month fixed-term contract

This high-impact role is responsible for delivering trusted financial advice, commercial insights, performance reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision support to senior business leaders.  You will work closely with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams to help shape business performance, drive efficiencies, and support the delivery of strategic objectives.

About the Role
As a key member of the finance leadership team, you will provide financial leadership and commercial partnering across the Consumer Portfolio. You will be responsible for revenue reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, expense management, executive reporting, and providing quality financial insights to support business decision-making.  This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence both operational and strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering & Commercial Support
  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial advice and strategic insights that support performance and growth.
  • Support the development of the overall Consumer Portfolio P&L view and provide input into Executive and Board reporting requirements.
  • Deliver analysis and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
Financial Reporting & Performance Management
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of revenue management reporting.
  • Contribute to monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, half-year and year-end result preparation, executive scorecards, and Board reporting.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide insights into key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide analysis of expense performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and cost management.
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, including Pricing, Capital Modelling, Claims, Marketing, Digital, and Actuarial teams.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Strategy, Operations, and Business Leadership teams.
  • Support benchmarking activities and provide insights into industry and competitor performance trends.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering capability development and high performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reporting processes, planning activities, and finance operations.
  • Contribute to key finance transformation and change programs.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, innovation, and customer-focused outcomes.
About You
You are a commercially astute finance professional with strong business partnering capabilities and a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders. You are equally comfortable working with detailed financial analysis and contributing to broader strategic discussions.

Skills & Experience
  • CA/CPA/CIMA/CFA qualification is essential.
  • Significant experience in a FP&A Manager or finance business partner role within a medium to large financial services organisation.
  • Extensive experience supporting both operational and strategic business decision-making.
  • Previous experience operating within a finance leadership team.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, and performance analysis.
  • Demonstrated success leading change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
  • General Insurance or broader financial services experience will be highly regarded.
