Finance Business Partner – Europe (Operations Controlling)

Contract Type:

Permanent

Location:

Singapore, Singapore

Date Published:

07-Jul-2026

Salary:

A fast-growing manufacturer with an international footprint is hiring a Finance Business Partner to support its Europe operations. One thing to be upfront about: this is not a classic commercial finance seat. The centre of gravity here is operations controlling – e,g. how the business runs, where processes leak cost or risk, and how to fix them.

The scope spans two distinct markets. For Europe, where the group's R&D is based, the focus is cost control: partnering R&D and operations teams on spend discipline, cost transparency, and KPI reporting. For the UK operations, the role oversees entity-level processes and supports commercial aspects - keeping the operating rhythm, controls, and reporting of the entity running well while supporting the local commercial agenda. Across both, you will conduct monthly performance and variance analysis, assess control frameworks, identify gaps across operational, financial and regulatory risk areas, and drive the resulting action plans. You'll work hands-on with cross-functional stakeholders such as supply chain, R&D, commercial, and global finance  on process improvement initiatives, issue resolution, and compliance with group policies.

This role will suit someone who has:
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in FP&A or controlling, with supply chain finance and inventory management depth
  • Industry exposure to finished goods export trading where you understand the flows, margins, and inventory dynamics of goods moving across borders
  • A demonstrable record of business process improvement: you have fixed processes, not just reported on them
  • Comfort engaging senior stakeholders, and willingness to travel frequently across Europe
  • A degree in Accounting or Finance

If your background leans more towards operational and entity controlling than commercial finance, you are likely the profile we are looking for.
