We are partnering with a Federal Government department to engage an experienced Solution Architect to support the delivery of complex ICT initiatives within a high-performing CIO Division. This role will see you working across a portfolio of cloud, AI and emerging technology programs, designing scalable, secure and high-performing solutions aligned to government standards. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into robust technical solutions, producing high and detailed level designs, and working closely with engineering, security and architecture teams to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design end-to-end solutions across Azure-based cloud environments
  • Develop High Level Designs (HLDs) and Detailed Level Designs (DLDs), including reusable architecture patterns
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business, engineering, cyber security and enterprise architecture
  • Support design governance and secure approvals across architecture forums
  • Contribute to Azure DevOps pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Ensure solutions align with security frameworks (ISM, Essential Eight, OWASP)
  • Provide technical guidance across cloud networking, integrations and application design
  • Work within Agile delivery environments across multiple concurrent initiatives
Essential Experience
  • Strong experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Cloud Engineer within complex ICT environments (Federal Government highly regarded)
  • Proven experience designing Azure-based solutions (HLD/DLD)
  • Hands-on experience implementing and administering Azure services
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Azure DevOps
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across architecture, security and delivery teams
  • Solid understanding of information security frameworks (ISM, Essential Eight)
Desirable Experience
  • Exposure to broader Azure capabilities including:
    • Azure AI / Machine Learning / Cognitive Services
    • Data and analytics platforms
    • Integration and API-led architectures
    • CI/CD and DevOps practices
  • Ability to operate autonomously in Agile environments
