AVP/VP (Network & Infrastructure Security)

Contract Type:

Permanent

Location:

Singapore, Singapore

Date Published:

25-May-2026

Salary:

$180,000.00 - $180,000.00 Annual
Client introduction:
Our client is a well-established international financial institution with a strong, growing presence across Asia, investing seriously into cyber resilience and expanding their regional security engineering team.
This is not a pure network operations role. It sits within security engineering and covers the design, deployment, testing, and improvement of security controls across network, infrastructure, identity, cloud, hardening, and other enterprise security domains. Permanent, Singapore-based, with two levels open depending on experience.
It suits someone who enjoys the hands-on side of cybersecurity but also wants real exposure to regional projects, senior stakeholders, vendors, and regulatory-driven standards.

Job responsibilities:
  • You’ll strengthen the organisation’s security posture by implementing and improving controls across infrastructure, applications, and regional technology environments. Expect to:
  • Take hands-on ownership of solution delivery - turning security requirements into working implementations across configuration, testing, deployment, and handover.
  • Support or lead regional security projects, depending on seniority, including rollout, vendor coordination, stakeholder management, documentation, and progress tracking.
  • Plan, assess, and continuously improve controls across enterprise environments.
  • Build and execute remediation plans for identified gaps, making sure fixes sit cleanly within the existing environment.
  • Investigate security issues and recommend practical ways to reduce risk.
  • Produce clear technical documentation - design notes, implementation guides, runbooks, configuration records, test evidence, and operational handover documents - and support audits and regulatory reviews with it.

Job requirements
As a successful candidate, you will need:
  • Genuine hands-on experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or network/infrastructure security - with real implementation or control deployment behind you, not oversight alone.
  • A solid grasp of network infrastructure, security architecture, traffic flow, segmentation, firewalls, and identity controls.
  • Practical exposure across some of: firewall policy management, micro-segmentation, privileged access management, vulnerability validation, security hardening, DLP, cloud security, or zero trust.
  • The ability to explain a solution clearly - approach, test cases, deployment risks, remediation, and post-implementation considerations - to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Strong stakeholder skills across vendors, infrastructure, risk, audit, and regional teams.
  • Banking or financial services experience is an advantage; strong candidates from large, complex enterprises will also be considered.
  • AVP: ~6+ years’ experience (3+ in cybersecurity). VP: ~10+ years (7+ in cybersecurity).
  • CISSP, CISM, or CRISC useful but not mandatory.

Why you should join them
This is a chance to step beyond narrow security operations or pure policy work and get close to real implementation inside a complex financial-services environment. You'll get a broad remit across multiple modern security domains rather than a single-tool role, regional scope, and enterprise-scale exposure. With two levels open, the role flexes to your experience - and for anyone building toward security architecture, cyber resilience, or security leadership, it's a genuine platform inside a reputable, stable institution that's investing seriously in this space.
