A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Investment Manager to help oversee a large and diversified institutional investment portfolio.

Working closely with the Chief Investment Officer, this role will play a key part in managing portfolio performance, supporting investment strategy and working with both internal and external asset managers. The position offers exposure across multiple asset classes and a high level of interaction with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
  • Management and oversight of a large institutional investment portfolio across multiple asset classes
  • Monitor portfolio performance, asset allocation and liquidity positioning
  • Contribute to investment strategy development aligned with risk and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with internal and external asset managers on mandate oversight, performance monitoring and strategy assessment
  • Monitor macroeconomic and market developments and assess implications for portfolio positioning
  • Contribute to strategic and tactical asset allocation discussions
  • Lead investment related projects including onboarding new managers, mandates or funds
  • Support ESG and sustainable investment initiatives
  • Prepare investment reporting and analysis for senior leadership and governance committees
About you
  • Experience working within institutional investment environments such as asset management, insurance, superannuation or investment consulting
  • Strong knowledge of fixed income markets and portfolio construction principles
  • Experience analysing portfolio performance, asset allocation and investment risk
  • Understanding of investment frameworks within regulated financial services environments
  • Strong analytical capability and the ability to translate complex information into clear insights
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, economics or a related discipline are expected. Professional investment credentials such as CFA would be highly regarded.
