Role Summary:

We are looking for technically sound Audit, Compliance or Risk Assurance professionals who are aspired to further their career in a Tier-1 Bank. In these roles you will act as an 'Assurance Manager' in the 2nd LoD by performing hands-on controls testing, documentation and reporting  adhering to the Group's risk strategy and RCM, consistently providing advice and adding values to the business.


Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform independent reviews on the design & operating effectiveness of key business controls as a crucial 2nd LoD function, covering one of the following portfolios on both BAU & Projects - Consumer Bank, Institutional Bank & Treasury and Corporate Functions 

  • Apply your audit & assurance knowledge to fully understand all the controls, run assurance testings in accordance with the Group's risk management program and strategy

  • Deliver assigned reviews from the annual assurance plan, with extra attention to high risk projects

  • Document findings and deliver assurance opinions to feed back to the business

  • Assist with embedding key risk monitoring and control practices into the business

  • Maintain a cohesive working relationship with key stakeholders especially Ops Risk, Compliance & Group Audit

  • Collate and consolidate materials for management and committee meetings

  • Ensure quality of work and supervise team members when necessary


Skill Requirements:

 

 

 

  • 3-5 years hands-on assurance experience in Banking & Financial Services (in Australia or overseas)

  • Risk assurance knowledge in order to effectively and efficiently design and execute testing plans, review scopes, and reports

  • Track record in delivering written work papers, writing issues, root cause analysis and recommendations

  • Experienced in developing and implementing operational risk frameworks for large organisations

  • Good ability to articulate and socialise risk & compliance insights to influence and get buy-in's from the stakeholders

  • Willingness to get your hands dirty with strong initiatives to deliver

  • Relevant qualifications such as CA/CPA, CIA, CISA are desirable

  • Big 4 professional assurance experience is highly looked upon
