Our client, a leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Digital Communications Advisor to join their team on a 12 month contract with potential for extension. As a Digital Communications Advisor, your role will support the communications function – assisting with co-ordinating, delivering and monitoring a wide variety of both internal and/or external communications.
Key accountabilities
Produce digital content using a range of technologies with a focus on website publishing.
Manage internal and external digital platforms to ensure the content is current, relevant, accurate, and complies with the Organisations
Act as the quality control check for all internal channels to ensure consistency, relevancy and timelinessmark
Provide excellent customer service and a user-focused approach to digital publishing
Ensuring digital assets effectively comply with the requirements of the latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and related legislative requirements
Delivery of web publishing training and content approvals to staff across the Organisations cluster
Essential requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
Demonstrated experience in working with a range of digital communications products including intranet and internet websites in a large and complex organisation.
Experience in internal or external
Strong written and verbal skills and an open communication
Basic multimedia production skills i.e., video editing with Canva or Adobe Premier Pro
Sound knowledge of, and strong ability to manage Content Management Systems - familiarity with SharePoint, Drupal and Squiz will be highly regarded
