Leading Government organisation seeks two Application Packagers to join on initial 12 month contracts.
Essential skills and experience required:
  • Demonstrated, extensive experience in one or more application packaging technologies and strong technical knowledge of packaging protocols, operating systems and standards.
  • Knowledge in Application Re-packaging, Application Virtualization, and Compliance testing (QA).
  • Demonstrated recent experience in Microsoft desktop operating environments: Win10, including troubleshooting deployment issues, system registry and file permissions.
  • Knowledge and recent experience in industry Packaging Tools and scripted installs.
  • Advanced experience and understanding of SCCM/MEM/Intune technology (upgrades, software deployments, managing distribution points, policies and infrastructure), profile management (FSLogix) and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in scripting (eg. PowerShell and VBScript) for automation and writing custom action scripts for packaging e.g. MSIX.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of deployment technologies in complex enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Windows desktop systems including exceptions in a large, diverse and distributed environment, specifically desktop virtualisation technologies.
  • Advanced troubleshooting knowledge and experience in application lifecycle, Application Testing, Application Delivery, corrective and preventative actions.
