Organisation and role: Leading Sydney based ASX 200 Investment Manager, looking to appoint a full time Senior Investment Control Analyst.  

Job purpose: As a Senior Analyst you will support the BAU operation of the data and investment reporting team including involvemenrt in group wide projects.  The role will oversee and maintain the integrity of the data received by external providers within the trading platform and security mastering systems, ensuring confidence in the usage, distribution and reporting of investment related data.

Role type: 12 month fixed term role (contract to permanent role)

Key deliverables: Responsible for the day-to-day operational processes that form the Start of Day and End of Day operating model. This includes:
  • Exception management of errors/issues identified
  • Setup an termination of new/old entities (Funds/Portfolios/Securities) within trading platfom (Aladdin) & security master system (Eagle Pace).
  • Daily monitoring of security updates (price, status, value) to meet Asset Valuation Policy perimeters.
  • ESG and Sanctions monitoring on securities as bound by the ESG and Asset Valuation policies.
  • Fortnightly submission to ASX on Substantial Shareholder Notification reporting.
  • Monitoring of exposure holdings limits in accordance with APRA Reporting Standards.
  • Weekly meeting with Custodian to discuss/escalate issues experienced in day-to-day operations/functions.

Key skills and experience:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification. Bachelors in Economics, Commerce, Finance, Statistics or Business is preferred.
  • Superannuation or Investment Management operations end-to-end experience
  • Strong understanding of investments structures and asset classes; good working knowledge of range of investment securities
  • Experience using Eagle Pace or similar Security Master (data management) platform (highly regarded).
  • Experience with Blackrock Aladdin preferred or other contemporary investment management platform (highly regarded).
  • Sound understanding of database structures, data flows and integration.
