Our client, a small NSW Government Department are looking for a HR Business Partner to join their friendly, supportive team on a Initial 6 month contract with the likelihood of the role being ongoing.
The HR Business Partner, is accountable to the P&C Manager for providing subject matter expertise, advice and support to managers in all P&C matters. In Partnership with the business, this role will be responsible for the design, delivery and evaluation of high quality workforce programs and initiatives that drive high performance culture, build leadership and workforce capability, foster positive and inclusive workplace culture, promote health and wellbeing and enable the Organisation to deliver its strategic priorities.
 
 
Key accountabilities:
  • Provide expert advice to the business about complex and/or high risk HR matters particularly relating to Government Sector Employment and Work Health and Safety legislation
  • Responsible for supporting business leaders in the execution of management programs.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for managers across the organisation in People & Culture related matters and develop and embed a mentoring program for emerging leaders.
  • Partner with the business to deliver and embed and continuously improve the Performance Development program, including reflecting best practise process to build capabilities.
  • Lead the design, delivery and embedding of the Human Capital Management (HCM) system across the organisation to support efficiencies in administrative practises.
  • Deliver all projects and initiatives to reflect “best practise” and to derive a clear business benefits that supports the strategic aims of the organisation.
  • Provide guidance and expert advice to support the success of all team initiatives, including the identification of risks and mitigations to increase the effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Work across the Corporate branch to contribute to a seamless end-to-end service delivery that is client orientated and outcomes focused
 
 Essential Criteria:
 
  • Formal qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting, understanding and applying relevant NSW Public Sector legislation
  • Experience in developing and delivering HR projects and initiatives, preferably in a modernisation context.
  • Experience of providing HR support to business leaders and managers; prior experience as an HR business partner would be highly regarded.
