The primary purpose of the role is to ensure employees have an exceptional learning journey as they develop the competencies required to undertake their work in a skilled, safe and effective manner, as required by the organisation’s technology policies and standards.
Key accountabilities
- Develop key deliverables including Learning Needs Analysis and Learning Management Plans for technology projects and coordinate training activities.
- Design and develop training materials in print, digital and video formats, as required, to support system implementation, product launches and software implementation.
- Deliver all training programs directly to end users or via the agreed Train the Trainer model.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with key internal/external stakeholders, including operators, vendors, TfNSW and other government stakeholders. Role Description Technology Trainer 2
- Maintain training and assessment documentation, in accordance with appropriate records management systems and procedures and legislative requirements, to support accreditation and play an active role in protecting the information assets and intellectual property of the organisation.
- Continually enhance learning delivery methods in line with emerging learning and development trends
- Comprehensive knowledge of instructional design principles in print, digital and video formats and experience in designing and delivering classroom based training programs
- Experience in a similar role in NSW Government would be highly beneficial
