The Role:

Client is a well-known global organisation within the financial services industry.  An exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to join this dynamic team with an immediate start.  Your role will be the implementation of a new accounting system for the commercial banking product.   The implementation is due to go live in March 2022.

Responsibilities: 
  • Implementation of a new accounting system for the commercial banking product, due to go live in March 2022
  • Assist the Finance Project Lead to prepare and review the accounting model and schema in accordance with accounting regulations
  • Manage all stages in the project life cycle from project initialisation to project closure
  • Responsible for the co-ordination and communication with the project team and finance users
  • Explain the user requirements to the Project and IT team for development or new features
  • Act as a facilitator, issues addressed and necessary clearances
  • Validate testing results
  • Ensure consistency of the finance systems and reports, adhering to the Global Finance standards and policies
  • Prepare meeting and presentations, updates to Senior Management and the finance users
  • Build and maintain a trusted relationship with all project stakeholders across different functions
Requirements: 
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting or Business Administration or related disciplines
  • Experience in the banking industry
  • 5 to 7 years of financial reporting experience
  • Strong experience and background in commercial banking products
  • Strong project management experience with product knowledge in private banking business is preferred
  • Understand the project objective and ensure all user requirements are properly captured
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality analysis, recommended solutions, challenge issues with a critical mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
