Our NSW State Government client is looking for a project coordinator who will be responsible for undertaking a range of program and project management activities to support the Product Transformation Program and Project Managers.

The position will perform a range of program and project management, coordination, analysis, operational and administrative activities that are time critical, bespoke and designed to ensure projects are effectively supported to meet required objectives and quality standards.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
  • Coordinate and perform a range of project/program management activities, applying sound project management principles, while supporting Project Manager/s in the delivery and implementation of organisational design business projects.
  • Analyse, assess and evaluate operational, administrative and systems support processes and resources including tools, templates and procedures, identifying gaps and implementing improvements to meet governance, program and team requirements. 
  • Prepare and maintain program and project related documentation, and source and collate information for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to contribute to the achievement of program and project outcomes.
  • Coordinate and perform a range of stakeholder engagement activities including workshops, consultations, working groups, meetings and briefings, providing support such as developing materials, communications, agendas, action logs and tracking outcomes and actions.
  • Formulate, maintain, monitor and report on program/project plans, schedules, risk and issues logs, and other project management registers (in conjunction with Project Managers), proactively identifying issues, coordinating and tracking actions to address to ensure effective project delivery.
  • In consultation with the Project Manager provide regular and specific purpose project reporting and analysis against baseline milestones and deliverables, identifying issues and recommending on actions to support informed decision making and planning.
  • Coordinate and perform a range of project and administrative activities to support the effective and efficient management of the program including those relating to procurement, financial transactions and budget administration, resources management, integration of project management actions and support for project management related software, tools and IT equipment.


To be successful in this role you must have:
  • Previous experience working in the Education sector
  • Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Track record of successfully performing a range of program and project activities including secretariat and operational support for business transformation/ change programs.
  • Demonstrated experience applying project management methodology, developing and implementing tools and guiding others on processes and standards to support program/ projects teams.
  • Experience liaising with a range of stakeholders/teams to coordinate program/project related activities, events, meetings and actions
