Our client a Leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Hydraulic Engineer to join their Manly team on a 12 month contract with potential for extension.
The Department looks after water infrastructure planning & design, property boundary definition, asset operations and management (water supply, sewerage, stormwater, waste facilities), laboratory based performance measurement (meters, SQIDs) and Public safety (flood warning, water quality)
Day to day duties:
  • The Hydraulic Engineer will coordinate a range of professional coastal and hydraulic engineering investigations to support Manly Hydraulic Laboratory’s suite of data collection and data management projects and services.
  • Undertake and contribute to oceanic, coastal, estuarine, riverine, water, wastewater, water quality, stormwater and flood systems engineering projects
  • Participate in larger engineering/environmental data monitoring/water infrastructure projects (such as dams, spillways and breakwaters) to achieve project objectives and deliver high quality and innovative client outcomes.
In order to be considered for this role you will have:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with or dealing with Government Departments highly desirable
