Our client, a leading NSW Government Department  is looking for a talented graphic designer to help them deliver high quality creative design services that improve customer experience outcomes, drive improved brand awareness and build brand equity. The role is positioned within their Media & External Communications team.
 
You will need to be a creative thinker with proven graphic design experience across both print and digital channels. You can deliver design outcomes that are accessible and support the delivery of the Organisations strategic priorities.
 
Key accountabilities
  • Provide timely expert and professional creative design services to deliver design solutions that achieve intended outcomes for the target audience within budget, scheduled timeframes and comply with relevant organisational and government policies to meet organisational and government priorities
  • Conceptualise, develop, design and coordinate the publication of communication and marketing materials including digital products and assets that align to brand strategy to achieve business and organisational outcomes
  • Develop creative designs that are accessible, compliant and customer-centered to maximise the user experience
  • Provide expert advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and present recommendations to support project delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other project priorities
  • Manage vendors and suppliers to deliver high quality materials on time and on budget to enable the organisation to meet its obligations and maximise business opportunity
  • Partner with customers and stakeholders, providing expert advice and support and sustain effective design services that meets business outcomes and customer needs
  • Design, implement, review and update tools, templates and guidelines applying industry best practice standards and techniques to drive brand development and implementation to optimise service delivery outcomes to customers
 
Key challenges
  • Managing competing demands and priorities, and addressing unforeseen issues in a high-volume environment undergoing constant change
  • Keeping up to date with design best practice and technologies while ensuring the on-time delivery of services to expected standards
