Our client  a leading NSW Government Department are looking for a Change Manager to join their team on 12 month contract, there may be potential for extension.
The Change Managers key responsibility is to support the Program Manager in integrating change management activities into the program of work to ensure that both the technical and the people side of the change are effectively addressed e2E (change analysis, change approach and plan, execution of change activities).
Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop Change Management Documentation; Stakeholder impact assessments, Change Strategies, Communication Plans, Engagement plan and Embedment plan, Training Plans and Training Material, Resistance Plans, Change Risk and Mitigation Plans, in addition to developing presentations for Steering Committees and Project Working Groups, and Project Communications as required
  • Implement the change strategy and associated plans through;
  1. Supporting the Program Manager by developing / scripting project communications to manage stakeholders’ expectations
  2. Supporting the Program Manager and project teams in integrating change management activities into the project plans
  3. Conducting and or facilitating stakeholder and or end-user workshops that support
  4. Manage resistance and providing support to the Program Manager, Project Team, Business Owner and Project Sponsor in– identifying and overcoming obstacles and objections in a structured manner
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies (i.e. PROSCI)
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Strong analytic and decision-making abilities
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organisation
  • Must be a team player and able to work with and through others
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
Non-Negotiable Requirements
  • Previous change management experience, preferably in an IT project or program of work
  • Experience with large-scale organisational change efforts
  • Change Management certification
  • Experience within the NSW Government Sector / Public Service
  • Must be willing to get hands dirty and participate in all aspects of Change Management activities
