Ethos is partnering with a leading Utilities organisation to recruit an experienced Procurement Specialist to support the procurement and delivery of a large-scale capital works program. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement and commercial professional with experience in construction or infrastructure projects to lead pre-contract procurement activities, commercial negotiations and stakeholder engagement across a diverse portfolio of major projects.

You will play a key role in developing procurement strategies, negotiating commercial arrangements and supporting the successful transition of projects into contract delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end procurement and pre-contract activities for major infrastructure projects
  • Develop procurement strategies and commercial approaches for capital works
  • Manage tender processes, commercial negotiations and contract establishment
  • Build strong relationships with project teams, legal, finance and suppliers
  • Negotiate commercial arrangements to deliver value for money and manage project risk
  • Develop forward procurement plans across a large program of works
  • Ensure compliance with governance, probity and procurement frameworks
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and commercial processes
About You
  • Experience in procurement, commercial or pre-contracts roles within construction or infrastructure environments
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial negotiations
  • Experience delivering procurement activities for capital works or infrastructure projects
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
  • Relevant qualifications in Business, Construction, Engineering, Law or a related discipline
Highly Regarded
  • Experience with NEC4 or GC21 contracts
  • Exposure to SAP Ariba, InEight or similar procurement platforms
  • Experience working across major infrastructure or utilities projects
