Our client is a leading Financial Services group and employer of choice.  Due to extensive projects and transformation they have a newly created position within their investments finance team for an experienced financial accountant or senior financial accountant. Reporting into the financial controller for investment management you will focus on both project and BAU related activities.  This role is responsible for reporting activities to support the Financial Controller including provision of accurate and timely financial information and ensuring that all statutory and regulatory reporting obligations across the Business Unit are adequately met.  This includes provision of appropriate support to ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end delivery requirements (including statutory and regulatory reporting), registers, schedules, reconciliations, trial balance, and ensuring accounting services are completed to support financial reporting and successful audit completion.

  • Support the completion, accuracy & integrity of Journal Entries, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet reconciliations and working papers on a timely basis for all designated entities.
  • Support the accuracy of financial control outputs, by ensuring processes adhere to compliance and control disciplines as outlined in Accounting Standards and other Group policies and procedures
  • Support compliance with all applicable reporting requirements (both internal and external).
  • Contribute to end to end process improvement
  • Support the timely response to stakeholder requests and queries.
  • Meet all appropriate accounting and reporting timeframes.
  • Ensure Finance stakeholders are adequately informed of issues on a timely basis.
  • Contribute to projects & initiatives.
This role would suit a qualified CA/CPA accountant either from a Big 4 / top 10 accounting firm or a financial accountant/senior financial accountant from a financial services background.  the role will initially be a 12 month FTC but with a view to extending or going permanent.
