Snr Manager-Technology Risk (2LoD)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this prominent, Financial Services Group. This is a max term contract till June 2027, with a firm extension. You will be part of a growing Line 2 Risk function. This will be a hands-on position and you will be instrumental in leading the risk mandate from a Technology and Program Assurance perspective.
This position will provide independent risk oversight, advice and challenge across CPS 230, CPS 234, technology governance, cyber security risk and technology transformation risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide independent Second Line oversight and challenge across technology, cyber security and operational risk.
Review technology risk profiles, risk registers, risk appetite statements and key risk indicators (KRIs).
Assess emerging technology risks, control weaknesses and risk exposures.
Challenge risk assessments, control effectiveness ratings and remediation plans.
Develop and coordinate risk-based Line 2 technology control assurance and monitoring programs.
Provide independent assurance for major technology transformation programs, system implementations and strategic initiatives.
Assess and challenge cyber security risks, control effectiveness, third-party exposures and remediation activities.
Support operational resilience, AI governance and regulatory compliance, including APRA CPS 230 and CPS 234.
Deliver insightful risk reporting and recommendations to senior executives and Board committees.
About You:
You will bring experience in Technology Risk, Line 2 or Line 3, within financial services or another highly regulated environment.
Exposure to CPS 230 and CPS 234 is required.
Ideally, you will have operated in a Second Line function, however experience in IT Audit or Line 1 Technology Risk will be highly regarded.
CA / CPA / CIA / CISSP / CISM / CISA or CRISC certifications or other will be a distinct advantage.
You will be a commercially minded, pragmatic risk professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to constructively challenge senior technology and business leaders.
