Salary:

We are seeking a senior finance leader with outstanding finance business partnering and senior stakeholder management skills. This is a highly visible role partnering closely with executive leadership and leading a sizeable finance team to deliver insight, performance improvement, and commercial outcomes.

The Role: 12-month fixed-term contract (immediate start required)

Reporting to the Finance Leadership team, you will act as a trusted adviser to the EGMs of two key business units, supporting the delivery of business plans through high-quality financial insight, analysis, and decision support.
You will take ownership of the   P&L, lead budgeting and forecasting, and provide performance analysis in a complex, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide strategic financial advice and commercial insight
  • Deliver insightful performance reporting and analysis
  • Lead the monthly close process, including BAU and project spend
  • Develop annual budgets and regular forecasts for the businesses and direct expense base
  • Provide robust financial analysis, proactively identifying performance issues and opportunities
  • Ensure project forecasts, expense allocations and financial logic are transparent and well governed
  • Deliver financial modelling and advice for projects and business cases
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of finance and analytics processes (onshore and offshore)
  • Lead, mentor and coach a team of 8 finance professionals
  • Contribute to understanding of the external environment, including benchmarking against competitors

About You:  You are a commercially minded senior finance leader with extensive experience gained in either insurance, banking, or wealth management, and a proven ability to partner at an executive level.

You will bring:
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Significant experience within a medium to large financial services organisation
  • Industry background - Insurance industry experience preferred.  Banking or wealth management industry expertise is also highly regarded
  • Strong background in FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering
  • Experience operating within a regulated environment
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including managing and developing teams
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change
  • Track record of improving financial reporting, planning or analytics capability
