This opportunity would suit a payroll compliance specialist, employee benefits consultant or finance business analyst with demonstrated experience delivering detailed LSL reviews.
Key responsibilities
- Review existing LSL balances, employee service records and calculation methodologies.
- Assess the applicable LSL requirements across relevant employee groups and jurisdictions.
- Investigate discrepancies between employee records, payroll balances and financial provisions.
- Build an LSL matrix documenting applicable rules, calculations, assumptions and exceptions.
- Recommend improvements to data quality, processes and controls.
- Provide clear findings and a practical handover to finance and payroll.
Hands-on experience reviewing and calculating Australian long service leave entitlements is essential. You will bring:
- Proven experience delivering an LSL review, reconciliation or remediation project.
- Strong knowledge of relevant LSL legislation and its application to employee entitlements.
- The ability to analyse employee service histories and investigate complex calculation issues.
- Strong Excel, data analysis and reconciliation skills.
- An understanding of how payroll leave balances connect to financial liabilities.
- The ability to explain technical findings clearly and build tools others can maintain.
This will be a contract position starting ASAP, initially for 6 months but with potential to extend
