Experience level:  Senior (8+ years)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, delivery-focused Senior Delivery Manager to lead end-to-end product and software delivery across the full lifecycle — from inception and planning through development, deployment, and post go-live support.
You will own the delivery outcome: ensuring product objectives, scope, compliance requirements, milestones, and dependencies are clearly defined, communicated, tracked, and met. You'll work closely with the Project Management Team, engineering, design, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver against agreed scope, quality, budget, and schedule.

This role also carries Scrum Master responsibilities, and — where no dedicated Operations Manager is in place — may extend to operational coordination and readiness for smooth transition into production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale, high-impact, or mission-critical programmes, ensuring objectives, scope, and compliance requirements are met at every stage.
  • Develop and maintain delivery roadmaps and project plans alongside the Project Management Team, ensuring milestones are achievable, dependencies are managed, and timelines are met.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, the PMT, and business stakeholders — communicating delivery status, risks, issues, and decisions clearly and consistently.
  • Remove blockers and provide clarity on priorities and requirements so the engineering team can deliver against product objectives.
  • Champion Agile and product delivery best practices: sprint planning, backlog management, retrospectives, and continuous improvement. Cover the Scrum Master role.
  • Proactively identify, track, and manage delivery risks and issues, escalating and driving timely resolution.
  • Embed governance and assurance checkpoints so deliverables meet compliance, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Drive programme governance frameworks, reporting structures, release planning, operational readiness, and stabilisation activities.
  • Manage executive stakeholder engagement, steering committees, and senior management reporting.
  • Coordinate multi-vendor and cross-functional delivery across engineering, design, operations, and business teams.
  • Mentor Delivery Managers, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams to strengthen delivery capability, and support resource strategy and prioritisation discussions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Project Management, IT, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience with demonstrated impact.
  • Minimum 8 years in software delivery, project delivery, programme management, Agile delivery, or product delivery management.
  • Proven track record as a Delivery Manager, Programme Manager, Agile Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, or equivalent, managing end-to-end delivery across the full SDLC.
  • Strong, hands-on grasp of Agile and Scrum — sprint planning, backlog management, continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage roadmaps, plans, milestones, dependencies, and cross-functional workstreams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across business and technical teams.
  • Strong risk and issue management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with compliance, regulatory, governance, and quality requirements in a software delivery context.
  • Sufficient technical literacy to understand delivery blockers, priorities, and dependencies (hands-on coding not required).

Preferred
  • PMP, CSM, CSPO, SAFe, PRINCE2, CITPM, or equivalent certification.
  • Track record managing complex enterprise or mission-critical programmes and large stakeholder groups.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise governance, release management, and operational readiness.
  • Experience in multi-vendor, cross-functional delivery environments.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Miro, or equivalent.
