About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join a high-performing Data Engineering team, supporting the delivery of enterprise-wide data initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex business requirements into clear data specifications that enable the successful delivery of modern data solutions.
Working across large-scale transformation projects, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, data engineers and delivery teams to analyse source data, define business rules, document data requirements and ensure high-quality outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

Required
Experience:
- Partner with business stakeholders, Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts to understand business processes, project objectives and data requirements.
- Analyse and profile complex source datasets to assess data quality, completeness, relationships and suitability for proposed solutions.
- Translate business requirements into detailed data specifications, business rules, transformation logic and source-to-target mappings.
- Produce and maintain high-quality project documentation, including data dictionaries, mapping documents, lineage, assumptions and traceability artefacts.
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Data Engineers and Developers to ensure requirements are understood and accurately implemented.
- Define data quality, validation and reconciliation rules to support system testing and business acceptance.
- Review implemented solutions, investigate defects and support issue resolution throughout project delivery.
- Identify data risks, dependencies and gaps, providing recommendations to support project decisions.
- Ensure data solutions align with governance, security, privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Provide analytical support throughout the full project lifecycle, from discovery and design through to implementation and transition into production.
About You
You'll be a collaborative and detail-oriented Data Analyst with strong technical capability and experience delivering enterprise data projects.
You'll bring:
5+ years' experience as a Data Analyst, Technical Data Analyst or Data Business Analyst.
Advanced SQL skills with the ability to interrogate, validate and analyse large, complex datasets.
Demonstrated experience producing source-to-target mappings, transformation specifications, business rules and technical documentation.
Strong understanding of data profiling, data quality, reconciliation and metadata management.
Experience working across data migration, integration, data warehouse or cloud data platform projects.
Knowledge of data modelling, data lineage and data governance principles.
Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery is highly regarded.
Exposure to Python, Power BI, Tableau or modern ETL/data integration tools is advantageous.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
