A fast-growing international telecommunications provider is looking to hire a Senior Carrier Sales Executive / Account Manager to support its wholesale and carrier business in Singapore.
The company provides cross-border connectivity, network, cloud and data centre-related services to telecom operators, service providers, enterprise network partners and regional customers. This role will suit someone who understands the carrier / wholesale telecom space and enjoys managing commercially driven relationships across international connectivity solutions.
 
Job responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of carrier, wholesale and telecom-related accounts across Singapore and the region
  • Build strong relationships with customers such as telecom operators, ISPs, network providers, system integrators and connectivity partners
  • Identify new business opportunities across international connectivity, private network, bandwidth, data centre and related telecom services
  • Work closely with internal technical, product and delivery teams to propose suitable solutions for customer requirements
  • Prepare sales pipelines, account plans, business cases and regular sales updates for management review
  • Lead commercial discussions, pricing negotiation, proposal preparation and contract follow-up
  • Support customer expansion by understanding their network requirements, regional plans and go-to-market priorities
  • Maintain good market knowledge of carrier, wholesale, data centre and connectivity trends in Singapore and the wider region
 
Job requirements
  • At least 3 years of sales or account management experience within the telecommunications industry
  • Prior experience in carrier sales, wholesale telecom, international connectivity, ISP, data centre, cloud connectivity or network services will be highly relevant
  • Good understanding of products such as MPLS, IEPL, IPLC, Ethernet, bandwidth, IP transit, data centre connectivity or colocation
  • Comfortable managing commercial discussions with technically knowledgeable customers
  • Able to develop account plans, identify new opportunities and follow through independently
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Suitable for someone who is self-driven, commercially sharp and comfortable working in a fast-paced telecom environment
